Needlenose

Portable, Self-Righting, Expandable

Designed from the ground-up for challenging surf-zone research activities. with payload capability that supports advanced MBES & Swath Bathy in a DC drive / Jet propulsion configuration that produces no wake in slow speed displacement mode.

Hull Type

Self-righting wave-piercing nose  rounded bottom hull for smooth efficient running through chop
Constructed from advanced composites for maximum durability, impact resistance and field serviceability

Sensor Payload

Tested extensively with a Ping DSP bathymetric sidescan and supports a wide variety of SBES, MBES, ADCP, CTD, Sidescan, Survey grade GNSS/INS, and other sensors, samplers and cameras (contact factory).
Payload elements can be added, modified, substituted or removed by client to suit specific mission requirements, up to a maximum of 30 lbs (14kg) with considerations on the effects of drag on stability, agility and endurance.
